This was my attempt to make an abstract artsy fartsy film with complete sincerity devoid of any irony. I made a point of textually justifying my use of black and white and using the lack of sound to enhance the sense of emotional tension to the piece.
Lessons learned:
When the cinematography is the major focal point of a piece, any shoddy subpar shots stick out like a sore thumb and are immensely immersion breaking, regardless of how brief the shot is usually, unless it's clearly communicated that it is an intentional decision.
